• The new Mini case fits Medtronic pumps 640, 670, and 780, as well as T:slim and Ypsomed pumps.

Aquapac commissioned a study by Imperial College London to assess the suitability of these cases with insulin pumps. The research found that:

• At low flow rates (e.g. 2U/hr), some cases may restrict insulin delivery

• At higher flow rates (e.g. 10U/hr), performance remained unaffected

Aquapac cannot guarantee the case will maintain 100% flow integrity for all pump models or users.

Use of this case with an insulin pump is at the discretion of the user.
Aquapac strongly recommends:

• Consulting your doctor or diabetes consultant before use

• Monitoring blood glucose levels regularly during use

• Avoiding extended or deep submersion in water

Summary of results:
At 2U/hr:

• 100% flow rate (no case): 0.0131g insulin delivered

• In Aquapac 150: range of 42%–81% flow rate

• In Aquapac 550: 92% flow rate

At 10U/hr:

• Flow rates remained close to or at 100% in both cases

Care Guidance

• When not in use, leave the TC clamp open to prevent distortion of the foam seal

• Avoid prolonged immersion

• Ensure the tubing sits correctly in the clamp channel before closing
