I bought the 35L in 2013, so 5 years ago now, use it all the time cycling to work, and it doesn’t look used at all. No hardware has degraded in that time – not a single run in the mesh side pockets even, or a loose thread!! Ridiculously good and keeps things dry. Only reason I am leaving this review is because I am back on their site considering a 15L too…

🙂 🙂 🙂 Thank you for posting, Estelle!

I love this bag. I purchased the 25l one as a daypack for a trip to Sri Lanka. Perfect for hand luggage, and also came into its own in monsoon style showers we had – protecting mine and my travel companions cameras and phones on day trips. The removable fluorescent compartment is great for splitting wet and dry – and the clear pocket perfect for keys and wallets (plus people often cant work out how to get into it!). Its a really simple design but so versatile would recommend to anyone requiring a waterproof rucksack as no need for a cover.

  3. GearAppraise

I would sum up by describing the backpack as extremely well designed, well built, lightweight and comfortable.

  4. Chantelle Kelly, Outdoor Enthusiast Magazine, “Lightweight daypacks for him”.

VERDICT: A bare bones, big capacity, tough-as-nails waterproof pack with few compromises for comfort.
BEST FOR: Watersports enthusiasts and wet-weather cyclists.
Aquapac kit has applications across a wide range of activities, but with a particular specialism in watersports. So, the Wet & Dry range of packs – which range from 15-35 litres in size, are partly aimed at SUP nuts, paddlers and such. However, they’re also a perfectly valid choice for commuters and more casual users. That’s because they’re dry bags made of an extremely thick (210-500 denier) and durable mixture of nylon and polyester that come with plenty of lashing points for karabiners as well as huge mesh side pockets, but also shoulder, chest and waist straps to keep the load secured whilst in motion. Those straps are quite basic and sparsely cushioned, but they do the job well enough. The main 25-litre compartment, meanwhile, is truly cavernous, and includes a huge neon-coloured detachable inner pouch to keep wet or dirty kit effectively separated. At 695g it’s a good weight overall, and many users will like its simple, spartan approach to total waterproofing. The very basic hydration system compatibility (utilising the side pouches) highlights how light this pack is on features, but there’s no doubting its ruggedness.

  5. T3, The gadget Website, “The most practical and stylish backpacks for men”

Ideal for traveling, biking, and activities such as stand up paddle boarding, this waterproof pack will ensure all of your precious belongings stay dry. The TPU-coated fabric with taped seams and roll-seal top will keep water out, and an internal divider will separate wet and dry items of clothing (or dirty and clean). It’s comfortable as well, with removable back support/seat and chest and waist straps.

I’ve been using my Wet & Dry bag a great deal. I continue to rave to our network about the quality of your gear.

  7. “11 best daysacks for walking” in www.independent.co.uk

Aquapac’s rugged waterproof bags are perfect for wet weather… [their] brilliant range of “wet and dry” backpacks are fully, reliably waterproof… Ideal for sailors, stand-up paddleboarders or just very wet and miserable hikers.

the 25l sack is a really good bag

  9. PeakedInterest.co.uk

I’d have confidence in taking it out in the harshest of weather with my most treasured kit inside and that says a lot.

  10. telegraph.co.uk

This rucksack comes in various sizes and is ideal for stand-up paddle boarding, or kayaking with a sit-on-top canoe. It is waterproof and highly robust and can be easily carried to a campsite or beach barbecue location, in addition to being used in water. Ease of Use 5, Ease to Carry 4, Robustness 4, Waterproofness 5, Overall 5. Highly versatile and good value for money. This is a really good piece of kit for any water-based activity that is equally valuable on land for storing any wet items and stopping them from leaking into your dry kit.

  11. The People newspaper

Whether you’re packing up after a festival, commuting in the rain or canyoning down a waterfall, this is the waterproof backpack that will protect your gear. 4 stars. ‘Great Gadget’.

  12. The Independent newspaper – 10 best backpacks for walking

This genuinely stormproof pack by the waterproof gear experts is designed to keep the wet stuff out at all times. It has taped seams so water can’t seep in. It also has a large waterproof internal pocket – big enough for a laptop – and a smaller transparent pocket for keeping those little items together. You get into it through a clever roll-seal, which is waterproof and doubles up as a grab handle. There are large, easy-access mesh pockets on either side for the stuff that can survive a soaking (i.e. water bottles). With a full five-year guarantee, it’s a no-brainer for someone always out in the wet.

This bag has been, and still is such a lifesaver.

  14. Scott Mestrezat, 2300 miles Missouri River SUP

Great bag. My favorite of all my drybags. I like the double layer of protection. I kept almost all my camera gear in it. I also really liked the extra-large water bottle holders on the side.

  15. Steve, Georgia, USA

Thanks for a great product! I used your backpack to carry about $4,000 worth of camera gear, jacket, water bottle and lunch while fishing each day in Alaska. I fished through rain storms and even fell in the stream once… everything stayed dry. Great insurance for the outdoor photographer. Best of all the camera can be accessed quickly.

  16. Jesse, China

I’m writing to tell you guys about how much of a pleasure it was being able to use your products throughout SE Asia for a year. I found myself in so many situations where it saved my gear, my friends gear, and they were always surprised when I took it into the water… plenty of compliments.

  17. Luke, SUP Memphis, USA

My Aquapac Wet & Dry Backpack is by far the best quality river bag I have ever had.
