Miranda Krestovnikoff –
I often worry wonder about the quality of certain products but I can safely say that I have tested the Aquapac mobile phone holder (Waterproof Phone Case) to the extreme!
During the summer my daughter was swimming in a lake with her friends. She put her mobile phone in an Aquapac and attached it to a paddleboard. After a bit of paddling, swimming and splashing, there was a shriek and the realisation that the phone was no longer on the paddleboard!!! It had clearly become detached and fallen to the bottom of the pond but after several attempts to free dive down and find it we realised that it was going to require more of an expedition to find it.
Being a scuba diver and having basic training in marine archaeology I donned my scuba gear and started to search in concentric circles over the pond. after an hour’s dive and a thorough search of the silty bottom, I couldn’t find the phone. A week went past and I dived again, and then a third time but to no avail. Two weeks later, my teenager was still without a phone and becoming increasingly infuriated at not being able to contact her friends during the summer. My husband, also a scuba diver decided it was his turn and after only 35 minutes in the water, he surfaced holding the phone in the aquapac. There were a few tense minutes until we got it inside and opened up the pack to reveal a completely bone dry phone which, when plugged in and charged, was fully working. You can’t believe my relief having this back again.
I can safely say that we have tested the Aquapac and it is amazing. Two weeks at the bottom of the lake 2 m depth is surely a product worth shouting about!!!
