These instructions and safety notices apply to every Aquapac IPX8 case sealed with an Aquaclip clamp from 85mm to 350mm, including phone, VHF, camera, small and large multi-purpose cases. Safety and guarantee information in other languages.

Warning: not a lifesaving device

For products supplied with a float pad, most devices weighing up to 200g will float with the supplied float pad. Always test whether the sealed, loaded case floats in shallow water before use.

Where supplied, keep the lanyard away from young children and avoid entanglement.

Our guarantee covers this Aquapac only, and not any devices, gear or other contents you put inside it. We recommend that you insure the contents separately.

Using your case

Waterproofness

Our range has been independently tested to international waterproofing standards. However, the waterproofness of your Aquapac depends on you closing and opening it carefully, and on it not being damaged either before or during use. Please follow all instructions carefully.

Before every use

  • Inspect the case, seams and closure. Do not use it if damaged.
  • Test the empty case in water before first use and after impact or prolonged storage.
  • Insert the device or gear without allowing sharp objects to touch the case.
  • Close the case exactly as shown below.
  • Do not exceed 10m (33ft) or 30 minutes. Use only between −25ºC and +40ºC.
  • After salt or chlorinated water, rinse the case and dry it before opening.

How to open and close your Aquaclip

The 85mm Aquaclip opens the opposite way to the larger sizes. On the 85mm Aquaclip, turn both levers upwards to open. On 105 to 150mm Aquaclips, turn both levers downwards. On 200 to 350mm Aquaclips, turn all three levers downwards.

Aquaclip instructions: on the 85mm Aquaclip turn both levers upwards to open; on 105 to 150mm Aquaclips turn both levers downwards; on 200 to 350mm Aquaclips turn all three levers downwards

Closing the case

  1. Make sure all parts are properly attached.
  2. Wipe away any grit or sand, which could hamper the seal.
  3. Keep the case material flat and correctly seated in the Aquaclip.
  4. Return all levers to the closed position, turning them as far as they will go. They should lock smoothly. If not, there may be something impeding the seal.

Opening the case

Never open your Aquapac in or under water.

  1. To stop any water getting in, first shake off any water, then dry the case with a towel.
  2. Hold the case with the opening at the bottom as you open it.

Care & specifications

Ongoing care

Our materials are strong but can still be punctured. Avoid sharp or abrasive objects and protect the case from impacts. After regular contact with chlorinated or salt water, or with sun creams, wash it in soapy water and then rinse with fresh water. Do not use bleach, alcohol or proprietary cleaners.

Waterproof rating IPX8: submersible to 10m (33ft) for up to 30 minutes
Materials Mostly rustproof plastics, including TPU, ABS, nylon and polypropylene
Operating temperature −25ºC to +40ºC (−13ºF to +104ºF)

Extreme temperatures

The case material is UV-stabilised, which means the plastic shouldn't be discoloured or broken down by sunlight. However, the Aquapac won't protect anything inside it from heat or sunlight. Use the case only within the temperature range above.

Humidity and condensation

In humid climates there will be moisture in the air sealed inside the case. Desiccant sachets absorb this moisture, keeping the contents completely dry. We recommend using desiccant sachets in all Aquapacs in humid climates. You can buy spare sachets from our accessories page.

Warning: This is not a toy. It may contain small parts which may be a choking hazard to children under 3. Keep small parts away from children.

Traceability: the product name, SKU and batch/lot number appear on the product packaging label. Please keep the packaging and your proof of purchase.
