Paddle UK is the national governing body for paddlesports in the UK. Their mission is to make paddlesports accessible for every person to enjoy, no matter their age, background or ability. 

Striving to stay on the frontfoot of safety, Paddle UK works with a number of organisations and partners to have the most up to date and useful information. Over the summer Paddle UK collaborates with the RNLI to deliver a safety campaign aimed at beginner paddlers, helping them be safe on the water. 

One of the key messages that Paddle UK promotes is taking your mobile with you out onto the water. This means that you can snap some great photos, but also that you can call for help should you need. This is where the partnership between Paddle UK and Aquapac comes in, giving members a 30% discount on top end waterproof pouches for their mobile phones. 

There are loads of ways that your mobile phone can keep you safe, with a number of apps designed to track you paddling, predict the weather, and follow safety advice. Paddle UK’s Go Paddling website is home to lots of great safety articles, with some focusing on the use of a mobile while paddling.

Access and environmental work are also at the heart of Paddle UK. With campaigns aimed at opening up new waterways, restoring old ones, and mass clean ups. Each year Paddle UK organises two weeks of action called the Big Paddle Clean Up, encouraging clubs, paddlers and communities to clean up their local waterways and share the great news.

As a member of Paddle UK, paddlers get access to over 4500km of waterways across the UK, as well as liability insurance, and a number of great discounts and benefits from partners.
