Fiona Quinn SUP 800 Miles

In 2018 Fiona SUPed the 800 miles (1,280 km) from Land’s End to John O’Groats.

This was the third and final leg of a world record Length of Britain Triathlon. In 2017 she had both walked 993 miles (1,600 km), and cycled 1,200 miles (1,900 km), between the same two extremes of the UK mainland.

"Having completed my walk and cycle of LEJOG, the only logical next step seemed to be a water based adventure. But with a fear of being in the sea, swimming was off the cards, so I decided to Stand Up Paddleboard LEJOG, something no one had ever attempted to do before I started. On 21st April I set off from Lands End paddling up the coast to cover 800 miles in total.  Along the way my route took me across the Irish Sea, becoming the first woman in history to SUP across this stretch of water. Two and a half months later I landed in John O'Groats having experience whirlpools, dolphins, and an incredible challenge along the way."

In 2016 she was the first person to complete the Cam Triathlon, over 180 miles by foot, bicycle and SUP.  In Spring 2017 she upped the anti and walked the length of Great Britain, covering 993 miles in 57 days. This was followed in September by cycling almost 1200 miles, solo and unsupported, from Lands End to John O'Groats.

When she's not outside, Fiona runs Adventure Book Club to inspire and support people to take on their own adventures, and she also coaches entrepreneurs to utilise the power of action to bring their own story to life.
