Can I use a case with no headphones in the jack?

For the waterproof iTunes case. If you do not want to use the headphone jack, is the phone still okay to go into water? Or will the jack be an issue if it is left submerged into water not connected to anything?

This is not a problem, but I do recommend that you shake any water out of the jack and dry it off before connecting a headphone jack again.
